Summer Student Employment Opportunity Promotion/Communications Coordinator
Location: Eastern Townships CEDEC (Sherbrooke) Terms of employment: approximately 35 hrs per week for 8 to 10, to be confirmed.
Tasks and responsibilities:
In collaboration with the Eastern Townships CEDEC staff and volunteers, the summer student will plan for, and in some cases coordinate, the promotion of the CEDEC and our activities at different local events throughout the summer period , (example: Canada Day in Bury and Townshippers’ Day in Ayer’s Cliff, launch of the entrepreneur network, etc.). The student will develop promotional material, surveys, as well as visual aids and web based content related to our various activities in line with the larger communication and branding strategy in place. As this is part of the Canada Summer Jobs programs, candidates should be students between 18 and 30 yrs old, who were in school full time for the winter 09 semester and returning full time at school in fall.
The ideal candidate:
• Is bilingual
• have post secondary education in communication, marketing and or multi-media
• Is self reliant and has the ability to work in a flexible schedule
• Is able to travel within the Eastern Townships territory
• Is a full time student, looking for a career related job opportunity
